The Province of Pichincha, in Ecuador, is transforming its Puntos Pichincha Technology Centers into community cultural centers. These spaces, equipped with technological infrastructure, allow the communities in the parishes where they are located to access digital literacy services. Some already host arts courses, film screenings, and crafts, and most have a small library or reading corner primarily serving children.

In addition to promoting digital culture, the Pichincha Points have the potential to deepen the nation's cultural policy by strengthening social bonds through culture, promoting the arts, and preserving material and intangible heritage. Achieving this requires designing and implementing improved technical management instruments.

Urban Front is working closely with the Province of Pichincha to promote and facilitate the exchange of community knowledge, cultural, artistic, and recreational activities for the benefit of local communities. They are building the infrastructure needed to transform the Pichincha Points (Technological Centers) into Community Cultural Centers. This transformation involves expanding their services related to digital literacy, developing digital culture, and, above all, serving as community cultural spaces that can function effectively as Cultural Centers.
